Watch out! Burglar Bill is on the prowl! What big ears you have Miss
Jones! Her Granny always said that eating crusts would put hairs on
her face. She should have gone to breakfast club - she wouldn't need
to eat any children then!

Grammar - Speaking and Listening: I saw not I seen etc.
Reading: Extended Stories and comparisons; Riddles/Tongue
Twisters; Information. Apply phonological, graphic and sight cues. Use
prediction and context to work out words.
Writing: Break down syllables to recognise blends for spelling.
Use vocabulary and settings in reading to apply to own writing.
Correct use of full stops and capitals.

Number: Rounding to nearest 10/100. Know number facts (addition
and subtraction) of pairs of numbers within the range of 0 to 20. Know
2, 5 and 10 multiplication facts to enable multiplication and division
problems to be solved mentally. Know and use halving as the inverse of
doubling.
Measure: Capacity (litres) and Time.
Data: Discuss and explain tables and graphs.
Shape and Space: Position, Direction, Movement, Right Angles,
Statements about shapes.

Sound: Origin of sounds and how they are made. Know distance
equals fainter sounds.
Habitats: Visit Coastal areas. Identify differences between two
places and living things found there.
Forces: Explain how to make things move. Effects of pushes and
pulls.

- Secure reading and spelling of all Y2 high frequency words.

ideas to make structures and suggest improvements.
