We are jetsetters now! 

Three of our pupils during the Easyjet flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

 

 

Below is the itinerary that Mr. Brady & Miss Ewbank created for the Paris visit.  We arranged the coach via Birkenhead's twin town Gennevilliers, which is situated to the south of Paris.

 

 

Itinerary for Paris – Wednesday 11th February 2004

Pupils will be picked up from School at: 06:00.

DO NOT BE LATE!

Flight 7041 departs Liverpool at 07:30, arrives at Paris Charles de Gaulle at 10:00. Coach will pick take the party to the following attractions:

Montmatre

It has been associated with artists for 200 years. The area is named after local martyrs who were tortured in the area around AD 250.

VISIT: Sacré-Coeur Basilica and Place du Tertre

Look out for: Bronze doors, equestrian statues, statue of Christ, Great Mosaic of Christ, ovoid dome (2nd highest structure in Paris). Portrait painters, people wanting to paint your picture for money!

Trocadéro

VISIT: Place du Trocadéro, Chaillot Hill, and French Supermarket for lunch.

Look out for: The grand Palais du Chaillot, Trocadéro Fountains, the fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower (once the tallest building in the world) and the River Seine.


Eiffel Tower

VISIT: Eat lunch on grass surrounds and visit the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower.

Notre-Dame

VISIT: Cathedral du Notre-Dame, Shakespeare & Co., river & boats, general walk around Ile de la Cité, Marché aux Fleurs et Oiseaux

Look out for: the flying buttresses, south & west rose windows, three main cathedral doors, and one of Paris’s last flower & bird markets.

Arc d’Triomphe – Champs-Elysees

VISIT: Arc d’Triomphe, walk down Champs-Elysees looking at French shops and cafés.

Children will buy own meal at the special Champs-Elysee McDonalds restaurant.

Musée du Louvre

VISIT: One of the world’s most impressive museums, the Louvre contains more than 350,000 priceless objects.

Look out for: Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo Sculpture, Medieval Moat, and the Glass Pyramid entrance.

Tour of Paris by Night and journey back to CDG-Paris

Depart Charles de Gaulle, Paris – Flight 7046 at 22:20, arrives at Liverpool Airport at 22:55.

Pupils will be delivered back to home by teachers.

 

 

 

Our Paris mascot Tranmere Rover and his twin were well looked after. 

In the picture they are being shown around the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.
